SVEL Group developed OL-SVEL-0.63/6(10)M transformer on a special request from a large manufacturer of reclosers. The weight of this model is 35% less as compared with the previous one, the dimensions are less, while all the properties and reliability remained unchanged.
Therefore, the cost of the product is lessened, which was one of the key requirements due to a large order.
To improve the weight and dimensions, the design engineers had to lean upon the optimal power, 0.63kVA that is required to energize recloser. In addition to that, the location of the secondary terminals box at the end of the unit, and not at the side (as the majority of the similar reclosers currently available in the market) made the transformer’s installation and maintenance more practicable.
OL-SVEL-0.63/6(10)M transformer energize automatic locking circuits from the overhead lines, railway longitudinal power supply lines, and other consumers. Such transformers are supposed to be mounted on an overhead line poles or inside of an open switchgear.
Application scope for railways may include the power substations intended for power supply of non-traction consumers.
