Over 20,000 SVEL's Instrument Transformers Supplied to Kazakhstan

News

Since 2011, SVEL Group has supplied more than 22,500 instrument transformers to Kazakhstan customers. The main share is purchased by switchgear manufacturers. There is also growth in demand at metallurgical, chemical, oil and gas, and other industries. One of the significant purchasers is Bogatyr Coal, the leader of Kazakhstan's coal mining industry.

Dozens of types of current and voltage transformers and low power transformers are being supplied to industrial enterprises. In 6-10 kV grids with high inductance and capacitance, where resonance phenomena may occur, the three-phase groups 3×3NOL(P)-SVEL-6(10)M and 3×3NOL(P)-SVEL-6(10)M-7 have proven to be effective. The design solutions implemented in these groups significantly enhance the resistance of three-phase networks to ferroresonance and the effects of intermittent arc, which is confirmed by the relevant test protocols. The company has already produced the second batch of such transformers for Bogatyr Coal, in 2025.

The range of SVEL's orders from Kazakhstan in 2025 is not limited to the coal industry. SVEL has intensified its instrument transformers supplies to the oil and gas company Embamunaigas, the world's leading manufacturer of chrome raw materials Kazchrome, and the manufacturer of chlorine-alkali products, Caustic Company. Cooperation with industrial sector can become the foundation for strengthening SVEL's position in Kazakhstan.
