SVEL Constructs Substation for Largest Sun Generation Site in Saratov Region

News

SVEL Group is the general contractor for 110kV Aleksandrovo-Gayskaya Substation, which is expected to facilitate the output of the largest sun power plant in Saratov Region.

We deal with the design engineering (preparation of the design and working documents, conducting a non-governmental expert review), providing the site with all necessary equipment and ensuring the full scope of construction and installation activities. Also, SVEL is to construct the overhead lines, totaled 1 km, to connect the substation with the main grid. All the specifics of the route is taken to account, i.e. this line will cross with other overhead lines, automobile and railway roads.

110kV Aleksandrovo-Gayskaya Substation shall operate a number of equipment manufactured by SVEL, i.e. 63MVA step-up power transformer, a bunch of distribution switchgears, and a disconnector. Acceptance of the site by customer is scheduled on the autumn of 2025.

Since 2016, SVEL has been participated in solar and wind power generation projects. The substations built by the company in numerous regions of Russia and abroad now supply about 1GW of ‘green’ electricity to the grids.
