In 2025, SVEL Group started delivering of 110kV and 35kV disconnectors to Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Among the end-users, there are utilities, transportation and mining industries. However, two years before this, Armenia became the first export destination.
It was with the disconnectors that the company launched its high‑voltage equipment line, in 2021. In Russia, the shipment geography of RG‑SVEL‑110 and RG‑SVEL‑35 extends to all Federal Districts, stretching from Kaliningrad to Kamchatsky Territory, from the Arctic to the Dagestan’s mountains. The immediate plans are to extend the manufacturing several times over.
The design of the disconnectors includes protection of earth blades against icing, and enhancing the efficiency of the receiving contacts. SVEL holds patents for both related technical solutions, which are valid in the Russian Federation and eight neighboring countries.
Customers are happy to note that SVEL disconnectors are easy to transport and assemble, while the versatility of design options allow for cost savings during installation. The devices operate reliably in icy conditions, and the contacts successfully withstand short‑circuit currents.
Earth blades can be located on the side of either of the columns, which also saves from redesign. The actuator suspension height is adjustable directly at the site, depending on availability of a foundation. RG‑SVEL can be installed on units from both European and domestic manufacturers without modifications to the supporting metal structure of the open‑circuit switchgear.
