SVEL Group manufactured 400MVA three-phase transformer and a set of auxiliary transformers.
All the units were shipped to the customer’s site in Seversk, Tomsk Region, to be preserved in order to maintain their operability up to installation.
In Seversk, at Siberian Chemical Plant, Rosatom Corporation is currently implementing Breakthrough Investment Project. For the first time ever, a fast neutron reactor of NPP was designed with the closed cycle, i.e. the spent fuel is supposed to be reworked to be used again.
Therefore, in addition to the nuclear power unit, the NPP shall locate a nuclear fuel fabrication and reprocessing facility. The power of the four auxiliary transformers for energizing this site totals about 160MVA.
The cooperation between SVEL Group and nuclear industry started back in 2010. Today, the company delivers equipment to the majority of Rosatom’s NPPs, both in Russia and abroad.
