Dry-type rectifier transformers
Converter technology is used to rectify alternating current to direct current, inverting direct current to alternating current, converting frequency, number of phases, and also DC voltage of one value into voltage of another value.
Transformers used in converter installations are used to change the values of the network and match it with the input voltage of the converter. Using a transformer, the DC network is isolated from the AC network, the number of phases of the valve windings is increased to reduce the pulsations of the rectified current, and the shape of the mains current is improved.
