The 35 MW Ulyanovskiy wind farm is the first industrial-scale wind farm in Russia. The new "green" energy facility became one of the wholesale electricity suppliers. SVEL Group became the first transformer manufacturer in Russia for a project of this kind.
It was important for the creators of the wind farm to get an energy efficient transformer for their site. This aspect is especially important in alternative energy, where the indicators of electricity generation are not as high as in the "classic" generation options.

SVEL Group has produced an individual transformer for the Ulyanovskiy wind farm, taking into account a number of features.
The transformer was created at the request of the customer for a non-standard voltage class of 0.69 / 35 kV. SVEL has manufactured a special transformer with an increased number of high voltage windings - for uniform power supply of a multi-pulse converter system. At the same time, the windings themselves were made of copper, which also increased the energy efficiency of the products.
When creating the transformer, SVEL specialists were limited in size, since the transformer had to be installed in an existing cabinet.
The construction of the wind farm was to be included in the import substitution program, and therefore the products of SVEL Group supplied to the facility were checked for compliance with the rather stringent requirements of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation (Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia) in terms of the degree of localization. Confirmation of the country of origin of the goods was carried out by providing a certificate in the form ST-1, issued by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.
The delivery of the transformer was carried out on time. Work experience for the Ulyanovskiy wind farm has shown: SVEL can create unique solutions for the wind power industry, taking into account both the requirements of the legislation and the individual wishes of the customer.
