About the project

The customer asked for help in organizing commercial metering points. The point had to be organized at the inputs of a 110 kV power oil transformer (traction substation).

To install metering points, the customer saw the only solution in replacing the built-in current transformers: it was supposed to remove the bushings and install new transformers. This solution was costly.

SVEL Solution

SVEL Group offered its own solution - installation of measuring transformers directly on current transformers. For this, individual mountings were selected and a version of an instrument transformer designed for increased loads was created.

Thanks to the SVEL solution, the customer managed to organize a metering point with an accuracy class of 0.2S, reducing the cost of installing instrument transformers and the installation time.
