In Iskitim City, near Novosibirsk, a 110kV Substation was constructed, to provide power supply to the so-called city forming company Iskitimcement, LLC. Two sets of 6kV dry-type cast resin transformers were prepared by SVEL Group. These transformers manufactured by the composite method demonstrate high strength and resistance to inrush currents, and require no maintenance. The purpose of this equipment is to maintain the level of voltage of the electric units at the moment of possible fault.
Even back in 2020, SVEL was the first in Russia to manufacture the composite reactors. Though, the distribution grid’s site in Novosibirsk Region has received such equipment for the first time in 11 years of our cooperation.
Iskitimcement is a leading cement maker for the construction industry of the area. Now as the large cement maker obtains their own power supply source, the regional substation will be lessening their burden, definitely. The vacated reserve of 20MW can be used to engage into the grid more residence houses, social and commercial sites.
