Rooppur NPP, the first nuclear power plant in the People's Republic of Bangladesh, is being constructed by ROSATOM.
Last week, the installation of seven SVEL autotransformers, 174 MVA/ 400kV began. This activity is carried out by specialists of ESCM Corporation under supervision of SVEL's Supervising Engineer.
The autotransformers are manufactured in tropical configuration according to the quality plan as inspected by ASE, VPO ZNPP, and VO Bezopasnost.
SVEL Group made their first deliveries to Rooppur NPP back in 2018. During this time, 108 dry-type cast resin transformers, 160kV to 1,600kV are supplied to the facility, along with 36 current transformers type TOL-SVEL-10.
