Spandaryan Hydroelectric Power Plant is situated on the Vorotan River, near a settlement of Shagat, Armenia. It is the upper, regulating stage of the Vorotan Hydro Cascade.
SVEL Group delivered four 10/0.4 kV transformer substations, consisting of two sections of NCU-SVEL-1000/0.4 - U3, along with four 630 kVA dry-type transformers.
In addition this, SVEL specialists completed the entire scope of supervised installation, commissioning and training that included distribution of training materials.
Spandaryan HPP is a strategic site, and therefore it was not permitted to completely dismantle the obsolete equipment, and shut down the line. SVEL Group ensured gradual dismantling of equipment, one section at a time. It was also essential to ensure emergency situations withstand. Thus, upon customer request, SVEL experts performed the simulated voltage loss under different situations on various feeders, thereby demonstrating the reliability of the delivered and installed equipment.
All work was completed in September 2021.
The customer highly appreciated SVEL Group‘s efficient performance.
