Sibir-Polymetals, JSC, a concentrating plant is located in Rubtsovsky District, Altai Territory. In September 2022, SVEL delivered ten 1,000kVA, 1,600kVA, 2,000kVA dry-type cast-resin transformers. The new equipment is intended for the scheduled upgrade of the site. The transformers were made in a protected design and with an additional cooling system, which ensured the increased overload capacity.
The upgrade of the plant is a large-scale long-term project intended up to 2039. Within the first stage that will is estimated to be completed in 2023, the plant will increase zinc concentrate output up to 200 thousand tons per year, which is 2.5 times more than the current values.
