SVEL Group shipped Switchgear Cells inside E-houses for a new residential complex outside Tomsk. A distribution substation where the equipment hosted shall ensure power supply for Severny Park Residential District on the river Tom’.
The delivered equipment has already survived two extreme cases. The substation is located in a field, which has been totally hammered with snow, in winter. As it got warmer, the e-houses has been standing on a hillside in the middle of the melted snow. SVEL’s Switchgear Cells are highly resistant to climate impact, and the external elements of e-houses are resistant to corrosion, so sudden waterlogging had no consequences whatsoever.
The other incident occurred during connecting of the first consumers: one the power supply cable was unfortunately damaged by the local workers, however the equipment remained sound.
To protect personnel in case of emergency, the pressure release system activates at the SVEL’s Switchgear Cells. Therefore, this accident was localized, the cables were restored, and the equipment was successfully commissioned.
All in all, 16 Switchgear Cells with instrument transformers are delivered to Severny Park Residential District. The equipment shall ensure distributing electricity to 34 apartment houses, along with a school and a kindergarten.
