SVEL Group Boost 35kV Switchgears Capabilities

News

SVEL Group starts manufacturing 35kV Motor-Driven Switchgears. This enhances SVEL solutions for 35/10kV Substations based on Open-Type Remote Controlled Switchgears.

The principal advantages of the motor-driven unit are:

  • reliability, due to increased mechanical resistance – 20 thousand switches, totally, i.e., 30% higher than any similar units made in Russia;
  • energy efficiency, due to lower electrical resistance of the main circuits (up to 25% less than any similar units);
  • resistance to environment impact, due to wide temperature range (-40 to +40 C);
  • maximum rated parameters – 35kV;
  • safety, due to retaining all locks of the manual version of the switchgears;
  • resource efficiency: the motor-driven switch roll-in/roll-out requires significantly less effort and time than a manual switch;
  • quality guarantee, due to 30-years’ service-life and 3 years warranty period;
  • environment friendly: zero fluorinated (greenhouse) gas in the arc chamber; and
  • flexibility — can easily replace any similar device.

This advanced 35 kV switchgear’s cell also ensures other functions of 6(10)kV SVEL’s switchgear: CCTV, temperature control of joints and busbars, the switch resource calculation, connection controllers with data transmission as per IEC 61850.

This new technical solution is developed for power supply to remote facilities without permanent personnel, and especially fit for oil&gas, energy, and renewable power.
